Rooted in the JavaScript community

Reject.JS is an annual, community-driven full day JavaScript conference happening in Berlin at September 11th, 2014.

Reject.JS was born in 2010 out of the monthly BerlinJS meetups, and aims to give a chance to experience the JavaScript community to rejected speakers of, people who didn't get a ticket and everyone else who's interested. Nowadays, Reject.JS is a full-blown conference itself, while still staying true to its roots.

We provide an inclusive event that gives newcomers as well as long-time members of the community a relaxed space to meet, exchange experiences and make new friends. Together we explore tech and community topics and give a glimpse of Berlin's flourishing tech scene.

Ticket price includes entrance to the conference, refreshments over the day and tasty lunch, so you can nourish your body and use the the lunch break to digest the first round of talks and connect with other attendees. Our party in the evening is open for everyone, with or without ticket, so bring your old and new friends and have fun!

Proudly presenting our lineup

We received over a 100 great proposals and like to thank everyone who has submitted a talk. We strongly appreciate your efforts and we're proud that you considered to present your topic at Reject.JS.

Selecting from those far-out submissions was tough but in the end we're more than excited to announce these fine folks and the talks they'll give.

Venue & Location

Reject.JS will be at Radialsystem V, Holzmarktstraße 33, 10243 Berlin. If you attended last year, this location will certainly ring a bell. It's directly in the middle of Berlin and can be easily reached with public transport. It has enough space for all our amazing attendees and offers a lovely area outside where you can sit directly at the river Spree, chat with people, relax and have some fresh air whenever you want to take a break.

Public Transport

The closest stop to our venue is Ostbahnhof. You can either take the S-Bahn or the bus to get there. If you wanna experience Berlin's subway you have to get off at Jannowitzbrücke. From both stops it's just a short walk to the venue.

Tip: Use CityMapper to find the best way from your place to Radialsystem V.

Alternative Public Transport Apps

Getting around by Car

Parking: The compound of Radialsystem V includes two parking spaces for the disabled. Additional parking is available at the train station Ostbahnhof. Here’s a list of all covered car parks in Berlin.

Car Sharing: Various suppliers for car sharing in Berlin give you the opportunity to pick up cars (they have an app for that) and drop them off (mostly) wherever you want to. The best-known are DriveNow, Car2Go and Multicity. Please consider that the registration process may take some time and all companies require registration fees, so it may be only worth it if you’re planning a longer stay in town.

Berlin's Airports

Both airports are located close to the city center at about a 30 minute taxi ride (ca. EUR 30) distance from the venue. There are also trains and buses that connect the airports to Berlin Ostbahnhof station, which is only a 5 minute walk to the venue.

Crack Bellmer

We're going to close the conference day at the Bar “Crack Bellmer” in Berlin-Friedrichshain. There are two outside areas which will give you enough room to talk to your new and old friends you met at our conference. And if you fancy a dance: There will be live DJs inside at 11pm. You're welcome to bring along your friends as well, no matter if they attended Reject.JS or not. Doors open at 8pm. The non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks are on us until the budget is gone. We'll let you know as soon as this is the case.

How To Get There

The bar is located on the “R.A.W.-Gelände” – Revaler Straße 99, 10245 Berlin.

We've prepared proper routing links for you. Pick your favorite routing service and your favorite way of transportation and get all the instructions you need:

Don't hesitate to ask for help! The links above should give you everything you need, but just in case here are some more details:

Public transport

The easiest way is to go Ostbahnhof, which is very close to our venue. From there on hop on any S-Bahn that goes to Warschauer Straße (S5, S7, S75) and get off there. Go upstairs onto the bridge, turn right and once you see the Revaler Str. turn right there as well. After about 300m you'll see the bar on the right side.

If you fancy a walk after our conference you're lucky: The bar is just 2.3km away from the venue and it will take you about 30 minutes. See the routes for a detailled plan.

It's just a 5 minute ride with a taxi and shouldn't cost you more than 10€. Share a taxi with a few people and split the fare. Cheap and effective! You can either use the myTaxi app or try calling one of these numbers:

If you don't have any minutes left on your phone or need any help: We're more than happy to call you a taxi!
